Share Submissions or Download them
I work with sensitive data and can’t share all responses when I share certain responses with the ppl I work with. To solve this, and also to help with working with my customers, could the new View Submission eyeball icon have an option to make that submission record a sharable link for read only (preferably password protected just like the form fill password protection function)? This would be amazing for private & secure data shares (instead of downloading All records, modifying the excel doc, and then sharing the file manually)

not sure how to Close a card/request, but this issue was solved with the new function where checkbox selects records for export Feedback - OpnForm

Thanks so much for sharing this, Pierce! Really thoughtful feedback, especially about balancing privacy with convenience when sharing specific submissions. The idea of having a read-only link with an optional password or account access makes a lot of sense for sensitive data workflows. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain how this would simplify your process and help your clients too.

Thanks Archie. also, it’d be good for growing opnForm community as the more form-fillers, the more users (if they have to create an account)!

an alternative, near identically easy solution for my business would be to download only select submissions (still eliminating the Excel modification step, but ppl I share excel with have to deal with unweildy cells holding large data and it’s not nearly as clean of a view, and if you do the idea I posted, it will increase shares to customers/clients and thus growth of OpnForm users)

I would also prefer if they had to have an opnform account to view it, whether in the same workspace or not, just for a little added 2FA (and viral growth coefficient as it’d create more users :)
