Disrupting Logout!

Bug

My account will logout automatically even if I am active building/creating my forms. It will show an error that I am not able to publish my forms and notice when I refresh - my account was on logout. Ive raised this issue 8-10 months ago but still exist. Its very annoying.

    Hi there - we’ve just fixed this! Session should now last much longer, and prompt you to re-connect in a modal if you’re disconnected.

    That sounds really frustrating—sorry you’ve been dealing with this! 😞 It definitely shouldn’t be logging you out while you’re actively working. Here are a few things that might help in the meantime:

    ✅ Try a different browser or incognito mode – Sometimes, session issues can be browser-related.
    ✅ Clear cache & cookies – This can help reset any stuck sessions.
    ✅ Disable extensions – Some security or ad-blocking extensions can interfere with login sessions.
    ✅ Check for network interruptions – If your connection drops, even briefly, it could cause a session to reset.

      from my side I can confidently share that it’s not a network interruption, and since it’s reoccuring for past year or so of course I’ve cleared cache/cookies many times, its just Chrome I think you are compatible with that right? So the extensions is the last thing left, I can check that, although Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin are the only ones I use and they have hundreds of millions of chrome users alone, so if for an odd reason something there is causing opnform to lose track of the logged in session then I think it should be fixed on opnform’s side (pls see my other comment for several different examples of how this looks, maybe it helps identify root cause?)

        I totally get how frustrating this must be—getting logged out in the middle of building a form is the last thing anyone wants. I really appreciate you sticking with us and bringing this up again.

        Since this has been happening for a while, I’d love to gather a bit more info to help us investigate. A couple of things that might help:

        • Have you tried using a different device to see if the issue persists?

        • If possible, could you record a short video of what happens when you get logged out? Seeing the exact flow might help us spot what’s going wrong.

        • Are there any specific actions that seem to trigger it (e.g., after a certain amount of time, clicking a certain button, or making changes to a form)?

    Yes I have had the same experience you described losing work in the process. This whole issue seems related to Opnform losing track of your sessions and either logging out or it doesn’t load the forms when you are logged in, OR it shows forms but actually logged you out and is still showing the logged in screen (not as bad of a problem as the one you described when that happens during the form editing process!).

    I would prefer that it never auto-logs you out I think we can manage to do that on our own OR have a button in settings to Log Out of All Sessions.
